Last night

You were there

With me, in my dream

Your eyes, and your smile

Your tumble of hair

We sat together

We talked, and we walked

So easy, so real

This morning

You felt close

As I woke, from my dream

But no traces of you

Not here, not at all

The feeling remained

As if we’d just been together

And the dream had been real
